Tapestry Workshop with Kimono Silks April 2026

Date – Saturday the 18th of April 2026, starting at 10 and finishing around 4pm.

Details – A six hour workshop where you will learn essential stitches and techniques to make a beautiful tapestry, this workshop is perfect for beginners and for makers interested in expanding their skills.

Using an Ashford tapestry frame, you’ll weave with stunning kimono silks and cottons in a vibrant range of colours. Weave an art piece ready to hang or frame, or a special silky table mat. You are also welcome to bring along your own special fabric to weave and create a textile that has significance for you.

Fees – $90 full payment will secure your place on this 6 hour workshop which includes tuition, all materials, use of equipment, and a light vegetarian lunch. The workshop fee is non-refundable, you are welcome to transfer your place to a friend if you can’t make it on the day.
